3 Mio. Euro für Lecturio von Seventure Partners, Holtzbrinck Ventures und TGFS
Together with the existing investors Holtzbrinck Ventures and TGFS, Seventure Partners invest €3 million in Lecturio, Germany’s biggest video learning platform for professional education.
With its extensive course portfolio, Lecturio is extraordinarily well-placed within the exciting and fast growing market of online education. The investment confirms our current strategy to invest in outstanding teams working on topics with a huge growth potential”, Wolfgang Krause from Seventure explains. Seventure Partners is part of one of the largest venture capitalists in France. It was founded in 1997 and since then, the company has invested in numerous enterprises in the areas of software, internet and life sciences. From early 2008 on, Seventure has been active in the German market.
“The interest in online education has risen enormously in 2013. We are delighted about the confidence of Seventure and will use the capital to accelerate our growth in 2014. No matter whether on the couch or on the job, learning and advanced education on the tablet or smartphone is entering the mainstream and Lecturio benefits from this trend”, Martin Schlichte, CEO of Lecturio, explained. Aside from mobile learning, B2B and enhancing brand awareness are focus areas in 2014.
