The Deloitte Corporate Finance Advisory team in Frankfurt/Main led by Alexander C. Bielig together with Ryan Edelmann successfully advised STEAG on the disposal of its biogas plants Kirchwalsede and Karstaedt. The Corporate Finance Advisory team supported STEAG jointly with Deloitte Valuation & Modeling led by Andreas Becker together with Tobias Neukirchner. Deloitte’s industry know-how as well as its integrated service offering provided significant value add to STEAG and ensured a smooth and efficient transaction.
The Kirchwalsede plant is located in the rural county of Rotenburg, Lower Saxony. The biogas plant was established to convert biomass into fertilizer and electrical energy. The treatment capacity is 33,200 metric tons of organic residues per annum.
The Karstädt plant is located in the rural county of Prignitz, in the north-west of Brandenburg on the border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The treatment capacity is 80,000 metric tons of organic residues per annum.
