GCA Altium advises exceet Group on the sale of AEMtec to capiton
GCA Altium has advised exceet Group (XETRA:EXC), an international technology group specialized in intelligent electronics and security technology, on the sale of its subsidiary AEMtec, a leading full-service provider of micro- and optoelectronic systems, to capiton. This transaction marks the latest of over 80 technology-related deals that GCA has completed in the last 12 months.
AEMtec is the strategic partner of choice when it comes to the manufacturing of extremely small and complex micro- and optoelectronic systems and delivers a full range of services from prototyping to serial production for small to mid-sized batches. The company employs more than 175 highly skilled employees and operates a state of the art production facility in Berlin.
AEMtec’s solutions can be found in highly intricate applications such as computer tomography scanners, lithography systems or active optical cables, across various industries. To date, AEMtec has completed over 500 successful projects for blue-chip clients, many of whom it serves as the single-source provider.
Tobias Schultheiss, Managing Director of GCA Altium, commented: “AEMtec’s management team has built a truly impressive business with a unique positioning in the market. We are delighted to have advised exceet Group on this transaction and are convinced that capiton is the right partner for AEMtec to continue its success story.”
The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities.
