Cipio Partners announces that it has promoted Dr. Ansgar Kirchheim, who joined the firm’s investment team 18 months ago, to Partner.
Before joining Cipio, Ansgar was a Partner at High-Tech Gründerfonds, one of the most active seed and early-stage investors in the technology sector in Europe. He led a team of several investment professionals with over 30 portfolio companies and was directly responsible for companies such as SimScale or Hornetsecurity. Ansgar started his career at ERGO Insurance Group after which he co-founded and led KircTec, a German sensor technology firm. Ansgar holds degrees in Physics (Heidelberg’s Ruprecht-Karls University, Berlin’s Humboldt-University and Cornell University), as well as in Management (WHU Vallendar).
Managing Partners Diana Meyel and Roland Dennert commented: “Ansgar has joined Cipio Partners in January 2021 and since then has become a pillar of our investment team. He has led our recent investment in Navvis, the Munich-based global leader in end-to-end solutions for reality capture and so-called digital twins, and has been instrumental in managing some of our existing portfolio companies.”
Ansgar commented: “Cipio’s new €202 million growth fund has been raised at a perfect time. Our decades of experience in both up and down-cycles in the market and the fresh capital position us as a perfect partner for European growth-stage tech companies that look for growth capital and operational support guiding them in their journey to substantial scale.”
